Updates
Vendors redesign their settings screens without asking either of us. When they do, I fix the affected page and log it here — newest first. If you built your fortress a while ago, skim this list before assuming your walls still match the instructions.
How to read this: each entry names the page that changed and why. The "Last verified" stamp at the top of every instruction page tells you the last time I confirmed its click-paths against the real product.

- July 7, 2026 /network — added the cost story (the whole fortress runs on $19.90 a year, and why that shaped the design). /maintenance — added the weekly pulse-check note. Bigger layer numerals site-wide.
- July 7, 2026 /network, /time, /identity, and /devices — added real screenshots from our own setup: the NextDNS Setup tab (IDs redacted), the recommended Parental Control profile, our Recreation Time schedule, the Family Link controls hub, iOS Content & Privacy Restrictions, and a real Downtime schedule. All identifying details blacked out.
- July 7, 2026 Site launched. All ten pages published and verified against current vendor interfaces as of this date. If you're reading this near launch, everything should match what's on your screen — and if it doesn't, that's exactly the kind of thing I want to hear about.
Found something broken?
If a click-path on any page no longer matches what you see, the vendor moved it — and you found it before I did. Check back here in a week or two; these usually get fixed fast once spotted.
